Description
Black and white photograph of Lowell E lementary School, front and side elevations. Located at 11th and Orville, Lowell Elementary opened in 1898. The building was designed by Rose and Peterson architects and consisted of eight classrooms for eight teachers. A kindergarten addition was completed in 1922. In 1980, the building was converted to use as a school district warehouse. It reopened in 1981 as a career learning center. In 2006, the building was sold to developers intending to convert it into apartments.
